Board-Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist
Craig Whitcomb is a seasoned professional in hearing healthcare, with nearly three decades of experience. Originally from Boise, Idaho, Craig began his journey in 1994, obtaining his first license as a hearing aid specialist, followed by board certification. Throughout his career, he has held various roles, including entrepreneurship and nationwide collaboration, honing his expertise and leadership skills. Passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of those with hearing loss, Craig eagerly embraces new challenges.
Joining the Virsono Hearing team, Craig is committed to establishing a world-class operation, driven by his dedication to excellence and innovation. Beyond his professional endeavors, Craig finds joy in spending time with his wife, Lorie, and son, Zach, creating cherished memories together. Their shared love for teaching and engaging with their grandsons, Rowan and Atticus, enriches their family life, providing balance and fulfillment outside of work.
Doctor of Audiology
Dr. Alayna Adams is a Diagnostic Audiologist and Treatment Specialist at Virsono Hearing Center. She is responsible for providing diagnostic and hearing treatment care via telehealth. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Bloomsburg University before completing her Master of Arts and Doctorate of Audiology degrees at the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Adams gained extensive experience in auditory and vestibular diagnostic testing, treating hearing loss with direct drive, air conduction, and bone-anchored hearing devices, and providing hearing healthcare to veterans. Watching her grandfather experience severe to profound hearing loss illustrated the challenges posed by hearing impairment. This experience inspired her to pursue audiology to assist others in enhancing their quality of life and preserving meaningful relationships with loved ones.
Dr. Adams enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, fishing, horseback riding, golfing, and traveling with her family.

Certified Dementia Practioner
Dr. Sabeena Ramnanan-Harrix is an audiologist dedicated to identifying and treating individuals with hearing loss. She dual-majored in speech and hearing sciences and psychology at the Macaulay Honors College at Brooklyn College, receiving her Bachelor's degree in 2017. She earned her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from the City University of New York Graduate Center in 2021.
Dr. Harrix has worked in various clinical settings, gaining extensive experience working with hearing devices and assistive technology. Her passion for changing lives through hearing healthcare led her to become a provider for Virsono Hearing Center. Her current role as hybrid diagnostic telehealth audiologist allows her to inform patients of the importance of treatment from the moment hearing loss is identified.
Dr. Harrix resides in her native Queens, New York, with her husband and daughter. She enjoys traveling, good food, and quality family time.
Audiologist
Dr. Tanya Arbogast is a clinical and research audiologist with 20 years of experience, including research on the fitting and outcomes of novel hearing devices, such as Earlens. She started at Earlens in 2013 as part of the early clinical research team, and is now Audiology Trainer in the northeast region. She received her Doctorate of Science from Boston University in 2003, specializing in auditory perception, comparing how people with and without hearing loss understand speech in background noise. Before that, she completed a Master of Science in Audiology and Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders at the same institution. Prior to joining Earlens Hearing Centers, she held a research position at another hearing device manufacturer, and a clinical position at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.
She currently resides in eastern Pennsylvania with her family and enjoys all the area has to offer, from easy travel to major cities to the Delaware river and small-town life.
Otolarnygology
Dr. Chetan Shah is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. He treats both children and adults. His special interests lie in medical as well as surgical management of Chronic Sinusitis (specializing in functional endoscopic sinus surgery without the need for packing the nose with gauze), vertigo / dizziness and balance disorders as well as hearing loss.
Facial Plastic Surgery and Otolaryngology
A graduate of NJIT with an electrical engineering and a pre-med at Rutgers University, Rakesh B. Patel, MD went on to the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) – New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Patel completed his Post-Doctoral training as Chief Resident in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (OHNS) at UMDNJ. He completed a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery accredited by the AAFPRS.
Dr. Patel is double board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.
As a result of his many years of training, he was personally selected for the coveted position as Director of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training for the Montefiore Residency Program (OHNS) in New York (2002-2005), and for the Otolaryngology department at UMDNJ (2008-2009). Dr. Patel’s technical expertise and innovations in facial cosmesis earned him the 2005 and 2009 Teacher of the Year award from both universities residency programs.
