Dr. Drew Dundas is a highly accomplished audiologist and researcher with a strong background in hearing and hearing aid research. He began his clinical training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and pursued further studies at Vanderbilt University, earning a PhD in Audiology and Biomedical Engineering. At Starkey Hearing Technologies, he conducted groundbreaking research in fitting algorithms, compressor design, and advanced signal processing.

After a successful tenure as Director of Audiology and Professor of Otolaryngology at the University of California, San Francisco, overseeing clinical operations, resident education, and research, Dr. Dundas joined Soundhawk Corporation in 2013 as Chief Scientific Officer. There, he played a pivotal role in the development and validation of the Soundhawk Smart Listening System, a groundbreaking direct-to-consumer customizable personal sound amplification product (PSAP).

In 2016, Dr. Dundas brought his expertise to Earlens Corporation, where he currently serves. As part of the team, he leads product development efforts for the Earlens System, collaborating closely with R&D, clinical research, and strategic marketing teams. Dr. Dundas is renowned for his contributions to the field and has been invited as a speaker at State, National, and International hearing and balance meetings. He has also authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and co-authored chapters on balance function assessment. Furthermore, his contributions have been recognized with multiple US and European patents related to hearing devices and personalized sound technology.

Dr. Elizabeth Mitchell is not only the Regional Audiology Manager for Earlens Hearing Centers she is also one of the world’s leading Earlens experts. She has over 10 years of experience in Clinical Audiology and Audiology Research with over 5 of those years at Earlens. She completed her Doctorate in Audiology from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, after completing her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to joining Earlens Hearing Centers, she held positions at the National Center for Rehabilitative Research, House Research Institute, and one of the major manufacturers of traditional hearing aids.  Growing up with a mother with hearing loss exposed her to the challenges hearing loss can result in and the effects it can have on one’s quality of life. This made her realize at a young age that serving people with hearing loss was her calling. Dr. Michelle Inserra did both her medical training and her residency in Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery at Stanford University and Hospitals. She then completed a fellowship in Otology and Neurotology at the California Ear Institute. After finishing her medical training, she joined the Otolaryngology Department at Kaiser Permanente in Santa Clara, where she practiced subspecialty surgical and clinical care in Otology for over 10 years. She has been with Ear Associates since 2017 and specializes in chronic ear disease, hearing loss, eustachian tube dysfunction, and vertigo and balance disorders. She also is a medical consultant and medical advisory board member for Earlens, a hearing aid startup company. 

Originally from New York, she went to Brown University and obtained a degree in biomedical engineering. She did medical research at the Rockefeller University in New York City, before coming out to California to start her medical career.

When she is not devoting her time to care for patients with ear related issues, she spends her time with her husband, stepsons, and 2 dachshunds. She enjoys Pilates and hiking.

Dr Peter Li currently works as an otologist at EarLens Hearing Center in Menlo Park. 

Originally from Hong Kong, Dr Li studied medicine at Cambridge University in the UK and then moved to the US in 2005 for a research fellowship in otology at Harvard Medical School. 

He completed residency training in Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery at Stanford University and is a graduate of the faculty fellowship Biodesign program at the Stanford Byers Center for Biodesign. 

Following training, Dr. Li ran a comprehensive otolaryngology practice at Stanford for many years before joining Kaiser Permanente in Santa Clara. 

When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Li enjoys learning about new medical technologies and spending time with his family.
